I displayed this piece several months back, when I completed it, but didn't want to give too much away until the magazine was published. Scape Magazine released it's debut issue in April, but between deadlines, storms, computer problems, and now flood, I forgot to tell ya'll that you can now read the story I illustrated it for. The story is titled Take Apart Their Nightmares, written by Crystal Hilbert.
He tapped at the glass and spoke, his language incomprehensible but beautiful, his voice like river granite. Sarah cocked her head, tried to tell him she couldn’t understand, but he was already backing away from the window. The creature paused in the flowerbed, winked at her with mischief and a promise in his eyes, and disappeared.
